Some objects do not belong to those who carry them. They belong to those who were lost. Angelos, a military chaplain, has spent years carrying two things he could never leave behind: a cracked compass and a wooden horse. One was given to him during the war. The other was found where no child should ever have been. As memory returns, Angelos is forced to walk once more through the path of loss, faith, and the people he left behind. Because some stories do not ask to be forgotten. They ask to be told. THE COMPASS AND THE WOODEN HORSE A story about war, memory, faith, and the things that continue to live long after people are gone. ✍️ Odysseas Nostos

"She came down to learn what it meant to be human. He forgot what it meant to feel anything. They were both wrong about what they needed." In ancient Athens, Selene - goddess of the Moon - walks the earth in mortal form for one hundred days, carrying three trials she does not yet understand. Khairos - son of Hades - has been walking the world for centuries, bored in the particular way of ancient things that have seen too much and stopped expecting to be surprised. He looks at the moon every night. He has never wondered why. The Fates do not make mistakes. They simply take the long way around. A story about what it costs to be seen. What it means to choose. And what happens when the moon finally comes down to meet the dark.

Some loves don't end. They just go silent. Between "I have to" and "I love you," something shifts. And sometimes without warning you find yourself wondering: will what they once felt ever find its way back? Athens keeps breathing. The air still smells like jasmine. But time doesn't move forward. It circles. A forgotten photo. A single comment. And suddenly, everything that was buried starts breathing again. Not as memory. As unfinished life. Andreas learned silence to survive. Charoula walked through fire and stayed standing. Two people on the same avenue, in different lanes. Athens, at night. Bouzoukia. Loss. Second chances. And a love that refuses to end. ✍️ Odysseas Nostos

Epi (Epiphaneia) is a blind girl living on the coast of Athens. Living with the hardship of almost no suitors, having only her beauty to find her a husband willing enough and kind enough to take care of her, that was her father's request, but knowing the men of Athens, she knows she is inevitable to fall to terrible hands. One day, she was forced to flee the marble city from her terrible fate, she finds herself stranded on a mysterious island filled with frighteningly realistic statues, most of which is engraved with fear, and soon finds herself with a monster she learns to be as much as a victim as she was. Stuck there, only with her wits and sharp tongue, she finds herself to become close with the monster with the kind eyes. Medusa. And this punishment the goddess had ensured upon her (or what Medusa told her it is) is starting to feel more like saviour.

The Return of the Parthenon Sculptures to Greece is a passion of mine. For years I've written poems and linked them to my art to help educate others why those ancient carvings belong in the country of their making. Here is one poem which reflects the voice of Lord Bryon and The curse of Minerva. Athena's voice haunts the streets of Athena's pleading for the gifts of her temple to be given back to her.

Highest Rank: #1 in #prisoners (September 11, 2018) ~*~ Kalika hit the cold stone floor, landing on her knees, hands behind her back. She had a hard look on her face, her eyes stormier than ever, her braid messier. She bent over a bit, one shoulder higher than the other. She looked up to see a man dressed in expensive Greek clothes, probably the leader of the Spartan attack. He walked down from the chair he had been sitting on, walking towards Kalika, he put his hand on her chin, lifting it up to examine her. The man smiled suspiciously, he put his hand on her cheek. "You'll do well as a Spartan slave." He smirked. "I am not a Spartan." She sneered. The man waved his hand in front of her face, he didn't care what she thought, not the best choice. She opened her mouth, and shut it quickly, she didn't bite his hand, but was inches away from his hand. He pulled his hand back rapidly, shocked but amused. "I'm no Spartan." She boldly put her head up. "I am for the Athenians." ~*~ Kalika is a young Athenian girl. She serves others, one family in particular. There she meets someone, a boy by the name of Jayce. Jayce is the son of whom Kalika serves. They meet often, and Kalika asks that she serves someone of young age, she serves Jayce. They are just kids, they don't know all the news that is shared at the Agora. Or do they? Kalika and Jayce have heard things, including things from the Spartans. After being captured they learn more than any of the Athenian warriors have. People's Choice Contest: Prompt 1 2nd Place Winner of The Polaroid Awards Season 1

This tale begins with three girls who are children of the three eldest gods of Greek mythology, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. They were separated as kids because a prophecy foretold the death of one of the daughters. The mothers determined to protect their daughters decided to allow their memories to be wiped clean of any knowledge of each other and their fathers. Each girl was given an amulet of protection, but that would also strip them of their powers. The main character who is now sixteen, plagued with visions of Greek gods, and adoptive parents who refuse to let her study Greek mythology, bumps into two girls who seem awfully familiar. Once they remember who they really are, they are captured by people who claim to be like them and soon uncover many secrets that have been hidden for centuries. Now they must learn to control their powers and face a mysterious being whose name is spoken in hushed tones throughout the school. Will they succeed in their mission and become great warriors or will the knowledge of the prophecy scare them into silence?

According to the ancient Greek legends, Olympias, mother of Alexander III, on the eve of the consummation of her marriage to Phillip, dreamed that her womb was struck by a thunderbolt, causing a flame that spread' far and wide', before dying away. This indicated that Alexander's father was probably the great lord Zeus himself. On the day of birth of Alexander ,mysteriously the Temple of Artemis was burnt down ,which led into spreading of rumours that probably the Goddess of hunting was busy attending the birth of the most powerful demigod after Achilles and Heracles, so she could not protect her temple. How did this great man die? Although history tells us dry facts about the death of Alexander, which took place on 11th June 323B.C at Babylon, as a result of typhoid and fever. But,prior to his death, there was a prophecy which indirectly foretold not only his death but also the people who would be the cause and consequences thereafter.... This story is about the death mystery of Alexander, The Great. The murder of the greatest king of the world.
