She ends up dating some other boy when finally her brothers friend comes up to her in secret. This story is about them falling in love without the most important person knowing.

It is unbelievable how one simple gym class in 7th grade can shape one's life so much. Mr. Chashew is quite rough on his students, even though they are just 7th graders. Poor Layla and Mack, who have to suffer through all of this terror. Somehow, they are able to learn to make the best out of this idiotic class and have a good time. Maybe even learn a lesson or two. Maybe, dare I say, laugh through this horror. A valentine poem. The Running Girl There was a girl who liked to run. She ran and ran cuz it was fun. Sometimes she stopped and looked at the stars. But then she'd once more run avoiding cars. As she ran, she would speed up quick, then slow again, through an orchard pick the bestest apple in her hand and chump on it til it was bland. She ran up hills as fast as mice and down hills to, as if, on ice. She ran this way and that way too. She even ran right through a zoo. As she ran and got real tired, she would just go faster as if a fire was in her stomach reaching for all she had and at the end, her time was not that bad. After all, she thought at what she had done, And had to admit it was truly fun, to run a race against no one, to do it in the rain, at night, and in the sun. There was a smile that crept up her face. It stayed there cuz it was its place. It stayed there because she knew that loves in life, there are too few. There is not enough to fill a jar and there are some that don't go far. There are some that die too fast. Don't pick too many that do not last. The little girl loved to run. She picked a love that was lots of fun for her to do her whole life through You need to pick loves like that too.
