I actually thought I lost this whole Wattpad account for a while and had to start this story over completely from scratch so I have a lot more updates to add in. Her captivity is short-lived when a crew of 9 breaks her out of the brig. They are none other than the Straw Hats. As they change course to search for Lovely's mother, Lovely grows close with the crew, especially their captain in particular. Dear Diary, There is no doubt that I could never be a normal Mermaid. As a matter of fact, I'm not even a mermaid at all. Though I look at her and I feel equal to her. She knows me, but she doesn't. The sirens that invaded our kingdom in Atlantis had the same tail, but weren't very well mannered or charming with far different characteristics than myself. Or so my fathers told me. Their tails are less vibrant then the merfolk with dull, dark colors and spikes on the sides... like mine... The only difference is that I don't have pale blue skin. Even though I don't look entirely like the sirens of Atlantis, the people of Bermuda were still skeptical of me. That's why I'm not really welcome at many places in my Kingdom, back at home. I had Marina from Bermuda Academy, but she even had to sneak around to spend time together since we were 5. Her mother's lack of trust had forced literal bars on her windows to keep us apart. With her being watched 24/7, I was alone and now had now had nothing left to lose. Someone has to help me... This is why I'm leaving home. To know who I am. What I am. Upon seeing how Ken uses this site, and how he serialized Love and Hamburgers, I too intend to release my story in a serialized version of my completed story, here on Wattpad. This seems like a fun place to work on the last of my finishing touches. Further, the story needed to be altered slightly as well, as it's a story of the near future, where when it was written, had no thoughts of Covid-19. What if Michael got another chance... This is an idea of an alternate universe that forms as different decisions are made by the Atlantis team during the second episode of season 3 (Misbegotten) of Stargate Atlantis. In the original story line the Atlantis team has managed to stop the Wraith from making it to earth with the help of a wraith, Michael. Michael was the first wraith that the team tested Dr. Carson Beckett's retrovirus on. Although the retrovirus appeared to be successful at first, Micheal soon began remembering who he was and eventually reverted back to his original wraith state and escaped from the Atlantis team. During the final episode of season 2 (Allies) and during the first episode of season 3 (No Man's Land) we learn that Michael was betrayed by the wraith that had rescued him and we witness the queen of the wraith hive telling Michael "the lingering stench of what they turned you into will never fade". Michael chooses to help Col. Sheppard and the other members of the team escape and eventually provides the idea that leads to the disbursement of the retrovirus to the entire hive ship. Back on earth Dr. Weir is under pressure from the IOA who are threatening to relieve her of her command at Atlantis. She remains in command pending an investigation led by Mr. Richard Woolsey. The difference in this story line first takes place during Teyla's meeting with Michael on Atlantis.
