Then Atsumu heard a laugh. A laugh so sweet, so light, so bright. His heart was pounding in his chest, threatening to drown out the sound of this laugh. Hinata Shōyō believes love is about trust, loyalty, and staying no matter what. Still, he tells no one, afraid speaking up would only hurt Hinata more, and convinced no one would believe him anyway. As Atsumu grows closer, he recognizes his feelings for Hinata and keeps them carefully hidden. His frustration builds as he watches Hinata doubt his own worth-especially after a coach dismisses him as a player only useful when Kageyama is around.
