My mind is colliding with itself and I don't know what to do

This is a collection of poetry I have written. Free verse, Aubade, Couplets, Prose, and Laments. Probably some accidental Doggerels. Mostly I am posting this for my own enjoyment, but I hope others enjoy it as well. I will add more as I write more (obviously, that's how writing works isn't it?). Some of these are made up, but most mimic my life.

Have you ever liked someone that you knew you two had so much in common. But they might shoot you down. You have to have the confidence to not care in that moment about the answer. Just go ask the question. And if it's yes. Then just do the right things. Even when it seems pointless. Love is sacrificial. (Combination of a canto, aubade, and acrostic poem.) From that moment, the lines between his reality and the life of the book's main character become more and more blurred in disturbing ways. Will the book dictate the direction Martin's future will take? Or, before he leaves the security of his beloved home, can he change the narrative and write his own story? The outcome will determine the fate of his family, his friendships, his sexuality, and his future path.
