So...you might be wondering how someone can be basically dead. It exists! We're not crazy. [okay, we are, but just a little bit] This is how Kirsten and I died. Or almost died. Sort of. Close enough. Basically.

Caddie Miller works for the pizza delivery in town as a part time job for her college years. She delivers pizzas from house to house, gathering tips, and driving through the night. Auden Cohen is a 'newbie' at the pizza parlor. He is working the summer at the pizza place in order to save money for his college tuition. Caddie, being the master of delivering pizza, is put to help and teach Auden how to deliver pizzas. Both embark on an adventure where they learn that there is more to car rides, delivering pizza, and life.

At 16, Amber Jameson takes off, leaving her family and friends with only guesses to why she left. When found by the authorities, she gives a new name, Auden James, and is sent to a foster home. There she meets her roommate, Courtney, and sweet, kind Honor. But it is Will, Honor's boyfriend, who Auden finds most interesting. Auden begins to see that she is not the only one with a bad past, but can she get close enough to those she loves without revealing her own secrets?

He is an adult and can choose to learn how to change but refuses to. He acts like a man-child and thinks he's justified for committing arson and sexual assault (remember Natalie?) and never once feels guilty. He's also a raging misogynist (he expects Tessa to just move to London with him no questions asked but when he's asked to move he throws a dam tantrum about it. He also treats his mom like shit and then is all shocked when she's done with his man-child behaviour and sends him to America). The level of entitlement this man is honestly alarming and the reason I am writing this is because realistically this is exactly what fucking Hardin would do! So um, yeah I hate Hardin. Hardin and Tessa are now parents to a beautiful, 5 year old, girl named Emery. In this book, it explains their lives in between the time when they moved in together in New York to having 2 kids ages 16 and 10 (I think that is what Auden's age was. It wasn't really clear on that). Maybe this should just be a oneshot kinda thing.

The only thing in Auden's life that brought her down was the fact that her mom was a prostitute. One night, when Auden arrives home, her mom's not the only one there. Her mom brought in a stranger. He hurts Auden in such a way she can't find it in her to speak again. She was diagnosed with selective mutism. When Auden is sent to live with her father in Arizona, she still doesn't speak, not to her father, not to anyone. Things begin looking up for Auden when she meets Jace; a young handsome man walks into her life...but is it enough for her to find her ability to speak? Through rough times, Hardin and Tessa made it to marriage. Emery going to school, tessa becoming pregnant again, what could go wrong? Will Hardin leave Tessa because of his problems? Will he ever come back if he does?
