Aurelia is dead. Has been for centuries, ever since a witch cursed her in Medieval Italy. On the (sort of) bright side, she wasn't cursed alone; there's Audria, her melancholy best friend and former courtesan, Alessandro, the cocky and permanently upbeat nobleman-turned-club owner, Mirella, who was too young to be with them when they were cursed and doesn't seem to have grown up any, and Dante, the quiet but brilliant former peasant whose good looks and intelligence brought him into their circle over half a millenium ago. Others were cursed as well, of course, but people tend to grate on each other's nerves after a few centuries. The one person who Aurelia never expected to see again, though, is Ezio, former count of the lost state of Rescigne, and the man who was the catalyst that brought the curse upon them in the first place. When Aurelia finds out why he's really found her after all this time, she realizes she has two choices--to keep living as she has been for hundreds of years, or to take a chance on a myth that could change all of their lives.

There's a darkness roaming over the city of Paris, France. Audria's home. Its been coming after her now for five years and it won't stop until it gets to her. The darkness is, of course, dark while it is also mysterious. It holds many things for it has picked up everything and everyone in its path for the past centuries. She cannot run from it. She has to stay and fight to save her beloved city. While encountering to do just that, she runs into a boy who holds mysterious features. Ones he cannot let surface. If he does, she will be in danger. And, if he cares for her at all, he cannot let that happen. However, even though he wants to keep Audria safe, Isaiah seems to have difficulties of keeping from her. He wants to know more of this elegant creature he's been sent to help ward off the darkness with. While, in time, she wants to get to know him, too, and learn the secrets he's hiding behind his mask of perfection. With everything happening, and with more dangers to come, do they end up together as they fight off the darkness that falls over Audria's city? Or do they end up going their separate ways in order for Isaiah to keep Audria safe from whom he really is? Cover by @LunaWolf295042
