"august sipped away like a bottle of wine/cause you were never mine..." *** this is just a little writing exercise i'm doing for a bit of a break from longer projects! for this reason it's a bit messy, just for fun :) this is a short story based on taylor swift's 'august' on her 2020 album 'folklore' - i do not own the song so the lyrics (used in chapter titles) aren't mine but the other stuff is :) *~• updating: n/a (COMPLETE ) •~*

•The Folklore Love Triangle• James finds himself doing the worst thing he's ever done; cheating on the love of his life Betty over the summer before senior year starts. When he shows up at her party, will Betty forgive him? And will August forever be a moment that slipped away?

to live for the hope of it all cancel plans just in case you'd call (this is just a short story i had to write for english, so i though i'd share it.) somewhat based on the song "august" by taylor swift. i do not own any of the characters from the song.

essentially, i've always thought that august by taylor swift reminded me of the summer before the last olympian occurs. i mean, percy's off with some other girl for the summer, and it breaks annabeth's heart. so i wrote an angsty AU about it. enjoy :) if you've never heard august by taylor swift, i highly recommend listening to it while you read this, just for context.
