The BEREAN received the word with great eagerness, examining the scripture daily, to see whether the things preached by Apostle Paul were so. They were open to the truth and searched their scrolls for themselves. This is all the book is about. Read the message , examine it yourself, accept the truth, Repent and Obey to get your Salvation. Your contribution to others determines God's contribution to you. They followed Christ, they wrote about Christ to us. It is therefore good to know a bit about them to at least see their enthusiasm, their encouragement, and faith in following Christ. I believe we learn their Christian walk with the word of God.
