Betty is a smart woman with an excellent résumé, several degrees and extensive knowledge, but she has a flaw that doesn't allow her to be successful in her professional life: she's ugly - or at least, considered ugly by society in Colombia in the early 2000s. THIS STORY IS NOT MINE. It's the famous novel, "Yo soy Betty, la fea". I'm not bilingual nor an expert at writing, I'm doing this for practice; my English isn't the best, nor is my writing.
