Astra De Kores is Betrasken, and one of a small group at Aurora Academy that is so. 13 years old, she qualifies for the Ace stream and, alongside her best friend Malii Hinode, begins school with Malii in the Brain stream. But throughout the year, they begin to notice strange happenings around the school. (An Aurora cycle AU, basically, apart from an OC I made, Castionihilus, is in squad 312. Basically how his species was ripped apart, from his point of view.) Squad 312 is on another mission to help some refugees. Or something like that. Visiting the big planet of Lootura, the squad notices they kind of like this place and decide to stay a few days longer. Which makes Finian de Karran de Seel especially happy.
