Retelling of the story pride and prejudice. " It is a truth universally acknowledged , that a girl in possession of too many pride and prejudice books , must end up in the book being a character she hates. " I love pride and prejudice, and read lots of retelling of that book and thought to write one myself. The character Caroline Bingley is not a favorite of most the readers... Including me. But I imagined what if someone ended up being Caroline of that book. Will they change her character ? Will something interesting happen from it ? , My character Lizzy hills loves to read pride and prejudice and she ended up in the novel being Caroline Bingley... What would happen next ? I will add few lines from the original text to have the fun of it , some scenes will be totally changed for the enjoyment. To know her exciting journey read my story ' I am Caroline Bingley', and if you like it than do vote and comment. Thank you 🍰♥.

When Madalene Montgomery returns to London after years away, she has only one goal: to secure an impressive proposal of marriage in her first season as a London debutante. Yet her reunion with the affluent Radcliffe family threatens the undoing of all her carefully laid plans. Enter Jacob Radcliffe, the older brother of her closest childhood friends, now a man of the ton -- handsome, popular, alluring --- and totally out of bounds according to Madalene's family. Not that it seems to matter much, seeing as upon reacquaintance, Jacob quickly declares he wants nothing to do with her. Yet as she guides her way through a season of endless, glittering ballrooms, dimlit garden-parties and chance encounters with the very same Radcliffe son who claims to loathe her, Madalene soon learns there are no rules when it comes to matters of the heart, and that to follow duty and save her family from ruin, she may have to sacrifice her one true chance at love.

Dr Parritt is called out on a stormy, chill, bitter night, to see one of his very least charming and charitable former patients. Sir Merry is a sour-tempered grasping selfish invalid, his daughter a hopeless martyr, and Dr Parritt isn't as obliging and good-natured as he might seem. Not to mention, that Sir Merry's daughter, the lovely Lady Helen, was almost affianced to Dr Parrish, a year back...

Two girls, one prince, a lake and one special love story! After many years dealing with my favorite ballet and fairy tale, Swan Lake, I'm retelling this famous fairy tale. I'm following mostly the original story, but of course, there's some imagination added. It's the story of pure love and and a magical lake of tears, of white swans and glittering ball room dances, of faith and betrayal, of fairies and princes. My greatest interest was creating in something pleasant and satisfying (with a touch by Jane Austen and Louisa May Alcott), and something faifhful to Tchaikovsky's brilliant genius. So, read the untol story that no movie, no stage did ever feature (although I think that the Barbie movie is the most faithful). I will put an author's note on my sources (Read more in my other fanfics). Here you'll find the original libretto (I had Google translate it): http://www.ballet.classical.ru/reisinger.html, but also on my YouTube Channel. cover made with Allerleirauh maker game by Azalea Dolls

No one who had seen me in my infancy, childhood, pre-teen years, or even last week would have thought I was born to be a heroine. But, surely, every girl got to be the heroine of her own story. And I was searching for what every Janeite with minimal pounds a year was; a hero to share my story. The only problem was, I was the epitome of that meme. I honest to goodness did not blame Disney for my unrealistic expectations of men. I had Jane to blame. It was bad enough Granny Meg and I spent my formative years romanticising gentlemen like Darcy and Tilney, the world of TV then decided that Regency was hot shit and I had all new gentlemen to make me swoon. There was a brief flirtation with Sidney Parker. I mean, that arse. How could you not? But then...then I was ruined for all men, at the ripe old age of seventeen, for the rest of my life. Hello, Anthony Bridgerton. There was not a thing that man could do or say that would not have me drooling. Move over Darcy, there's a new standard in town. A standard that Summerville High School's resident bad boy suddenly plans to surpass. Penn Franklin had always been of the look but don't touch variety. And, now he's taken a leaf out of every Regency man's playbook, just looking is becoming far too dangerous. Lingering glances, passionate words, and nothing but the promise of a touch. What's a girl to do when the bad boy talks Regency dirty? Pray to our Lady Jane that she can resist him and, when she can't, that he won't break her heart.

"Today I met a man, and I thought he was my soulmate, but then he turned out to be a conceited, judgmental, small-minded lemon-sucking jerk." When free-spirited writer Lizzie Bennet meets handsome lawyer Will Darcy at a party, she's smitten...until she overhears him reject her as a potential girlfriend in the cruelest way. Hurt, Lizzie decides he's the last man in the world she would want to date anyway. But as the two cross paths again and again, Will proves he has a warm heart under his frosty attitude, and Lizzie must admit that her wounded pride might have made her a teensy bit prejudiced.

9 Books of Jane Austen are included in this Edition. All Works of Jane Austen includes 1. Pride and Prejudice : Since its immediate success in 1813, Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language. Jane Austen called this brilliant work "her own darling child" and its vivacious heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, "as delightful a creature as ever appeared in print." The romantic clash between the opinionated Elizabeth and her proud beau, Mr. Darcy, is a splendid performance of civilized sparring. And Jane Austen's radiant wit sparkles as her characters dance a delicate quadrille of flirtation and intrigue, making this book the most superb comedy of manners of Regency England. 2. Emma: Emma Woodhouse is one of Austen's most captivating and vivid characters. Beautiful, spoilt, vain and irrepressibly witty, Emma organizes the lives of the inhabitants of her sleepy little village and plays matchmaker with devastating effect. 3. Sense and Sensibility: 'The more I know of the world, the more am I convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. I require so much!' Marianne Dashwood wears her heart on her sleeve, and when she falls in love with the dashing but unsuitable John Willoughby she ignores her sister Elinor's warning that her impulsive behaviour leaves her open to gossip and innuendo. Meanwhile Elinor, always sensitive to social convention, is struggling to conceal her own romantic disappointment, even from those closest to her. Through their parallel experience of love-and its threatened loss-the sisters learn that sense must mix with sensibility if they are to find personal happiness in a society where status and money govern the rules of love. 4. Northanger Abbey: 5. Persuasion: 6. Mansfield Park: 7. Lady Susan 8. Love and Freindship 9. The Letters of Jane Austen

This fanfiction is largely a reaction to Kathryn Davis' article ""A New Set of Opinions and of Hopes: Lady Russell's Education." This article, in short, sought to argue that Lady Russell's place in the novel was not merely that of a classist Dowager who sabotages Anne's first engagement to Captain Wentworth, but rather as a woman still grieving the loss of her dearest friend, Lady Elliot, and frequently and consistently mistaking Anne for her mother, a mistake which just so happens to result in her poorly judged persuasion eight years before the novel's start and one which persists up until its final chapter. Taking the sentiments expressed by Davis in this article, I decided that an interesting interjection into Austen's text would be to examine Lady Russell at her precise moment of conflict and reconciliation which occurs "off-page" in chapter 24. This scene is incredibly interesting to me as it inherently confronts an issue which I believe gets overlooked in many other critical texts: Lady Russell's frequent mistaking Anne for Lady Elliot throughout the novel. This was not something that was incredibly apparent to me upon my first reading, but it is a consistent and notable trend throughout the text, perhaps best demonstrated in the quote "it is only in Anne that she could fancy the mother to revive again." This case of mistaken identity, as well of an evident Freudian slip, is never fully explored in the text which left me incredibly curious as to how Lady Russell would possibly come to terms with Anne's marriage without overcoming, or at least addressing it. This is the issue which I seek to address here. Many other choices were made within the work, but this was the primary motivation for writing.

Katie Morland doesn't just believe ghosts exist - she's absolutely positive they're real. She hasn't read thousands of ghost stories or watched hundreds of episodes of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures for them to be fake. She just has to PROVE it. When she meets the Tilney siblings and finds herself with the opportunity to set up her ghost hunting gig in a maybe-probably-possibly-definitely real life haunted house, Northanger Hall, she won't let anything stand in her way. Not love. Not family. And not even a possible murder. A modern retelling of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey with ghosts, a Twitch channel, and a haunted house in New England. While we like to keep things light and relatively family friendly over here, this story is somewhat darker than First Impressions. Content Warnings for this story include: - Transphobia - Gaslighting - Emotional Abuse - Homophobia (moderate/implied) - Antisemitism and Antisemitic Tropes - Discussions of Body Dysmorphia and Gender Dysphoria - Discussions previous Parent Death - Discussions of a Terminal Illness

In a generation where feminist movements are so important, Anna finds herself in war between finding love and the journey of being an independent woman; the kind of woman that does not need some sort of dependency over a man. She has a strong belief that she does not need any man, but as she meets along this man, every aspect of her independency was put on a pedestal, and she finds herself on a tightrope that makes her life incredibly so interesting than before. Will she chase the man? Or will she continue being an independent woman? Is the chase really to choose between the two? Or to find balance in between? Can an independent woman be so capable of diminishing her walls for the one?

In one volume, you can read two classic English romances reimagined by Katherine Woodbury. The "gentleman" is Darcy from Pride & Prejudice; the "rake" Mr. B from Samuel Richardson's Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded. Mr. B Speaks! is part reimagining, part literary criticism, and ALL satire (of the aforementioned literary criticism). All parts of Mr. B Speaks! have now been posted. A Man of Few Words is a journey inside the brain of an intense introvert, namely Fitzwilliam Darcy. A Man of Few Words, starting with the foreword, will be posted beginning January 2, 2014. The omnibus volume begins with a discussion of the romance genre in English literature. What is our fascination with romance? How has it changed over the years? If you are interested in learning more about English life in the time periods for these novellas, related notes can be accessed at http://katenovels.blogspot.com.

A modern adaptation of Becoming Jane "I want you to have a good video to look at when you're old and can't get into a cinema to watch my matinees. I want you to have one video that might pass as proof that the great director Jane Aston is your sister." Jane always knew her calling. She sees Netflix as her research, and popcorn as her fuel. Her eyes are her lens to set the world as a stage. And while she knows that the silver screen seems a lifetime and a half away, she's willing to push past all that to make the movies people queue days to see. That is, if she can get past her coutryside prison of a home and get to uni. Tom Leroy loves money. Mid-way through training to be a big shot lawyer with buckets of money to wash in, he gets pushed into the countryside to stay with his best friend Henry, and his family for the summer. What seems like a disaster for the city boy turns into an unforgettable experience as he bumps into the despicable Jane again and again and again, in a love-hate-love story.
