Age Range: Usually 3-8 years old. (Written after a very close loss and found it hard to find materials that actually explain this properly to a child in a way that they can understand, so I created my own story to share with those who were affected the most by loss and grief.)

On her 16th birthday she got transformed into a mermaid, her mum's side of the family has had to deal with it for generations. Her mum died when she was young, so she didn't know about the curse. She learns to adapt and find her new identity throughout the story.
