To German Empire it took a bit of convincing to get his father to break the contract, but he managed fairly easily, at least, it was easy to him.

1866. Hungary watches as Austria, humiliated by Prussia, loses her place in the world. In this, Hungary sees her chance to succeed in what she couldn't in 1848 - to separate from Austria. But just as before, it is not quite so simple. or; the circumstances of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise, from Hungary's perspective. ••• This story is also posted on ao3, as a oneshot. It has been split into parts here, as relatively long single part stories don't seem to be a thing on wattpad. German Empire & Austria-Hungary - but I might plan to make it a little more A-H focused. . . . Won't lie... last I wrote about GE & A-H was in 2020... but here we are. As per most GE & A-H, this would not be historically accurate. The beginning is aimed to take place before they became "empires"... I suppose.

Descending the stairs, Carolus tried to calm his racing mind. Would she be angry? Would she do anything to him? No, that was foolish. She would never hurt him. Peace is wearing thin. Prussia and the Austrian Empire are fighting for dominance over the German states. War is seeming a likely possibility. When the scales begin to tip in Austria's favour, Europe finds itself on the brink of a larger conflict. Prussia's position of power is in danger. Russia is unsure of Austria's growing influence. France is eager for a taste of its former glory. Poland is itching for freedom. Tensions are rising.

Tired of seeing all those RusAme stories? Or those historical ones that only contain countries from WWI, and only have ships in them (not the boat kind): Well, this book doesn't have either! It has historical main characters from before the 1900s, no ships and lots of action and violence! :D Sadly, this does not contain any actual history, mainly just random countries who didn't even live at the same time fighting each other. It was mainly for fun. Credit to @AdranRavenCH for coming up with the name for the AU (and possibly the series) Imagine if Countryhumans each had a power. One power each.
