Maybe dwelling on the past isn't always a bad thing... This is a prequel to Lovestruck - Doki Doki Literature Club! It is a book of one-shots focusing on some memorable childhood moments between Jake and Sayori, all of which are loosely based on my own childhood memories. I do not own Doki Doki Literature Club. Nora Matsumoto couldn't make friends to save her life. Her only confidante was her single dad, who worked his ass off to give Nora the life she deserved after her mother bailed without rhyme or reason. As she begins her second year at university, she vows to make at least one real friend, to get out of her comfort zone, and to make her dad proud... but where did she even start? Kei Tsukishima and Tadashi Yamaguchi planned to be best friends forever... except their easy relationship grew tense. Yamaguchi had to draw the line. He gave Tsukki an ultimatum, and swore that if Tsukki broke their promise, then Yams would move out of their shared dorm and take the friendship in the divorce. Now, at the beginning of their third year at university, Yamaguchi is still feeling unmoored and Tsukishima vowed to uphold his promise because Yams meant more to him than he'd dare admit... but then they met her. Caution! STRAY contains: love triangles, polyamory/throuples, stalking, closed door spicy scenes, talking about sex/hooking up, ableism, and our favorite miscommunication trope. With his faithful friend Anna, the two of them are hunting a serial killer that leaves behind bodies - but no clues. On the other side, Tobias Ballantine is a magician, coming from a world of magic to live amongst mortals, and unintentionally stepping right into the end of a serial killer's only trail, leading him to become tangled up with the vigilante in a world he doesn't know anything about. Together, Jason and Tobias, paired with Anna and love interests Vano and Edward, the mismatched group of potential heroes must stop the killer, who is trying to destroy the veil between their worlds and start a war that may destroy humanity. ~☆~☆~☆~☆~ Started during NaNoWriMo, the first eight chapters of this novel completed the challenge a week early, and will be continued regularly from here on out. This is a rough first draft, once it is finished I will be revisiting it, editing it, and hopefully publishing in late 2021, or early 2022. Any support is appreciated, this story is my passion. ♡
