3. When the most powerful and evil wizard creates an army of metal warriors and casts them throughout the land, it's up to a group of retired heroes to save the day. Samantha Hansen (Haira) was a Nebraskan farm girl until she became The Chosen One in the lands of Driftwich and Everwoe. For a time she was a beloved hero, but after they beat the fearsome and demonic dragons, it turned out she didn't know enough about the people she saved to fit in. Healers were antiquated, few, and often vestal virgins like St. Murin. She quit her job as a figurehead right along with the title for hero to run off for the wild plains of the southeast. It was the only place that looked like an almost untouched Nebraska. Unfortunately, the rogue known as Ice followed her out and made his home close enough to be a nuisance. And he remained her only annoyance until the rustbuckets started building a train through her town, bringing the king's order to the wilds.

A civilization of engineered life have been forged from the living flame deep within the Volcano Art'at. Most of the beings who created them are long gone, and their created life forms have split into factions. The under-dwellers live at peace, replicating their makers by forming families and continuing to forge the next generation of their kind. But on the surface a war is raging, ravaging the resources of the planet and depleting it's core. Young Syber wishes to leave the peace of the underworld and join in the war, despite his mother's fears. Hello dear reader, My name is I23I7 ( its RED but written in l33t ). I am a guy in his mid 20s from eastern Europe. I decided to write this short story a while back when i was feeling down and needed some outlet. Its the beginning of the tale of an automaton and a air-ship captain in a world where instead of oceans there are clouds of white and where people live on floating island in the big white. I am more trying to get some feedback. Comments and generally what people think of the story. So far i have gotten some support from people but it did not feel genuine and so i turn to you dear reader. Thank you and i hope you enjoy it.R

"Welcome to the clockwork planet! Its great here and nothing could go better! Everybody now has an enhanced education 93% of the population have homes and good, supportive jobs All the nations are united It couldn't be any-" I push the pause button on the recording. "Worse". I finished the adio's sentence before it could say better. A thin veil hides the corruption of this world. I had watched as each one of my sister's had put a hole or tear in the unseen veil. I had watched as each one of my sisters had fallen into the hands of a villian. I won't let it happen again. I WILL find my sisters and protect them! In fact I MUST!
