This book absolutely broke me so here is a different happy ending that they both deserve Might do multiple different ending not sure yet. This is also not the actual story this is just another ending that will hopefully make it happier.

i am a delusional person. i refuse to believe the true ending of the story. so i wrote it myself even though i can't articulate real thoughts.

jack heard about noah smith, and instantly hated her. so when he sees her at finn's wake and finds out she's moving closer to live where finny grew up. he was furious, but reminded himself he's going to college and all will be good. but he never expected to randomly talk to her and actually enjoy the time spent. it reminded him of finny and the closure of his missing piece. but he forgot one big thing about himself. that he's finnys best friend. noah's always felt like an outsider, with her father being a work alcoholic and a mother that stays home. she's never got the closure she's needed. she'd loved the days she could go see finny and finally get away from her parents and her house. but it all blows up august 8th. her father decides he wants to move closer. moving would be a good idea noah could get to know more about where finny grew up. but she never thought about meeting a guy she'd fall for. will jack telling noah ruin everything?

My interpretation of if Finny had not died that night. I read this book a few months ago, and reread a few days ago. I think Laura Nowlin has an amazing mine, but I just could not accept the fate of my Finny. The author has this talent to make all of the characters seem like they're not just fictional and for her work to seep into every crevice of your being. It's such a special talent. I do not own these characters. Laura Nowlin created them.
