Sometime after the Air Nomads were wiped out, Aang unfroze and perished. This led to many people believe that cycle is broken and that the Avatar shall never be reborn. Meanwhile, a girl grows up among the people of the Southern Water Tribe, not knowing of her fate to save the world. But first, she must master her own element, water.

One year after defeating Firelord Ozai, Sokka and Katara head back to the Fire Nation to investigate a mysterious new enemy. Katara and Zuko try to make sense of their complicated relationship and feelings for one another as Katara struggles with her duty as the Avatar and Zuko tries to be the best leader for his people. Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, I was soon to be discovered as the next Avatar, soon, my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Soon, the world will be given new hope, because the Avatar will return to save the world.

She and my father, Fire Lord Zuko, turned the Fire Nation colonies in the Earth Kingdom into the United Republic of Nations. The capital of this great nation is Republic City. But Katara's time has come and passed, and now, it's time for the next Avatar to awaken.
