anika has spent most of her life locked in a special prison. she doesn't remember much, but the accident wasn't her fault. she wasn't trying for it to happen - it just did.
one single argument when she was just six years old. one single argument with her parents that ended up with them being killed. she didn't know how it happened, but she started to understand by the time she got older-she wasn't normal.
she remembers the house, how it turned all cold as she exploded with anger. how the air shifted into something else, something she couldn't really explain-something colder.
she remembers being dragged away from their lifeless bodies, cold tears falling down her face cause she didn't understand what happened. she remembers being questioned yet not answering because, what was there to answer?
she remembers being locked up. spending six years in that prison cell while they did all sorts of tests. she remembers leaving the prison and returning to new york. sleeping in the laundromat building because the elderly man let her. she remembers fighting to survive. and she remembers the man with the hippie beard that started showing up one day.
