'Love is blind' Is the dumbest saying I have ever heard. First of all, It's not even true. It doesn't make you blind, you just choose to ignore all the things you don't want to see. But that's wrong. Because if you fall in love ignoring their flaws, you'll fall in love with the person you want them to be. Not who they are. Which isn't fair for the both of you. Second of all, it's just easier if you don't fall in love. It's something temporary anyway. You fall in love and end up heart broken. Every. Single. Time. Trust me on this one I know it because I had to learn it the hard way. And I'll never make the same mistake again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Love is blind' Is the dumbest excuse of a saying I have ever heard. Avery parker is sixteen, pregnant, starving, and barely able to walk. Her foster father calls her fat. Her foster mother looks the other way. They don't know she's pregnant. They don't care that her left side is weakened by hemiplegia. They feed her every other day and call it "tough love." But Avery knows what it is: cruelty hidden behind closed doors. One night, driven by hunger, fear, and a tiny flicker of defiance, she limps into the cold, lonely streets - her belly heavy, her body trembling. She doesn't know where she's going. She just knows she can't stay. But freedom doesn't come wrapped in hope. It comes cold, slow, and uncertain.
