In a world not unlike our own, The Blossoming Lands, amazing creatures roam the land, the seas, and of course the sky. The Accipitri were the avian warriors who roamed the skies, a great war came and ripped the species in two. The new factions the Aietos and the Cathartidae wage great battles both on land and in the sky. When the dust settles after a large battle the sacred Great Mother of the Aietos is slain and her young, Keisa, is missing.

Having wings is considered the mark of a demon. The Daakhi, people born with the wings and tail of a bird are hated and cursed by humans all across the Empire. Then why is a young Daakh among Legion XII's Auxiliaries? Kaveh, despite being part of the Winged Folk, has been raised by the Legate of an Imperial Legion. His fate has been laid before him and he seems to have nothing against it. But what can he do when all his beliefs are turned upside down? What can he do when he is forced to choose between blood ties and loyalty oaths?

Zelen belongs to a race of reptilian humanoid-like aliens called the Zmiya; a scientifically advanced race that has managed to co-exist on Earth with Humans without their knowledge for thousands of years by carving out massive underground cities in isolated places like Greenland, Antarctica, and Siberia. As she is coming back from an off-world trip, the ship that she is on malfunctions and crashes in the Nevada desert, close to Area 51. The impact kills everyone on board; except for her. The wreckage is discovered by a team of scientists, who eventually discover Zelen who is knocked unconscious and injured, but alive, and take her back to Area 51, along with the wreckage of the ship that she was traveling on. She wakes up in a strange place with no recollection of how she got there, who she is, or what she is. Join Zelen as she makes new friends and slowly re-discovers herself.
