Awake Stories

This is a book of my poetry. I plan on adding a lot to it. I may even add more poetry than stories even. I'm actually adding ALL of my poems to it, but I will post my poems individually at first for a couple of days before I add it to this story group. I write quite a bit of dark poetry, but I also write poetry with a lot of eccentricity. Either way, my poems really define me, probably even more than my stories do.

Melantha Cross has had some very strange dreams for the past month. Dreams of a world that is completely different from our own. She travels through that strange world in her dreams, that world where it rains Diamonds in the north, is different times of the day at random, and the king of the territory she always lands in wants her head. Confused as she is by these increasingly vivid dreams, Mel is not scared by what can not hurt her. After all, nothing can hurt you in a dream . . . Right? But things don't add up. She gets scratched in a dream, and awakes with the same wound. She dreams of falling into the sea, and wakes up drenched. And then she doesn't wake up at all.

Casee is a misfit, a complete fluke, and she is on the run for more than just her life; she is running for her freedom. Her father, a powerful Alpha, who rules with fear and violence is wants her back under his thumb to use her uniqueness for his own gain. Seth is a normal Pack wolf, loyal to his father an Alpha and his twin brother Aden. Still mourning the loss of his mother Seth tries to be strong, but when a strange female turns up in their territory causing trouble, Seth will have more on his plate than ever before.

There is a place within my dreams, it’s soft, innocent and calm as a newborn child; but every child must grow up. Must the dream end? The perfect life held within a simple mind, one imaginary spark... changing everything. I know life suits whoever it grasps, but it still haunts me... Dreams are a reality. Every horror at the back of your mind, in the place you do not desire to look, behind the eye where evil lurks, waiting, smirks grow on their face like ivy on walls, in the subconscious state of your mine. The weeping hours of night. I am Katherine Lullett; this is how the nightmares lurk. Imagine you’re in a field, ankle deep with all types of flowers Plumerias, Peonies, Orchids, Multiple types of beautiful Flowers as far as the eye could capture. Now see it falling into a void, everything turning to dust then waking up to find yourself in bed, sweating like a waterfall of gold. For me, this is an action of everyday life. I’m rudely awakened by my mind I'm no ordinary girl, I'm no ordinary reality.

Have you ever felt so lost? Thats me. I had the best life back home in New York before my family moved to Riverdale. I had many good friends and I was not popular but people liked to hangout with me. So now I have to spend my last year of high school in some town, that I have never been before. I don't know anyone, now I can learn how it feels. Maybe thing will change afterwards as the time goes. That is just one way to find out, so welcome to my life.
