Winner of October 2015 Hannah Arlene Writing Contest (AWC). A young man visits El Dorado Kansas on a business hunch, but instead is directed to an old, haunted art museum. There, he encounters an art portrait of a beautiful woman entitled "To Leave A Lady a Rose." Inspired, the young man leaves a rose at the foot of the picture, and his life is forever changed in an unexpected way. Tayla Kent spends her days enjoying the mystery and beauty of the old antique shop around the corner, and having tea with Mr. Hamilton, the owner. But one day, he goes missing, and Tayla finds a huge well in the middle of the shop. To her surprise, she hears voices, and falls in. On a quest to find Mr. Hamilton, Tayla find Forsythia City...a beautiful place of magic. But everything in the city is fake...and Tayla finds herself duped by an evil Queen. Now she doesn't just need to find Mr. Hamilton...she must save an entire reality.
