When a beautiful stranger turns up at Green Gables with seemingly no memory of what happened to her, everyone in Avonlea is abuzz with the various rumours about her life. Astrid Meyer, a young girl with nowhere to turn, finds comfort in a farm with a girl with red braids and a beautiful French boy. When dreams of gold start to float around the town, Astrid discovers memories from her past that turn her life in Avonlea on its head. And what will happen when a certain Blythe boy returns from his worldly travels and bumps into Astrid? Astrid would find herself stuck in a choice between a thoughtful French field hand, and the strapping aspiring doctor. Who will she choose?
