October 2018 I can't believe it's going to end this way. Everything we went through, all the sacrifices we made, lives lost, in the end, it didn't make a single difference. At least, I'll finally be able to rest. As darkness spread over the horizon I dropped my gun and fell to my knees awaiting the end. I wonder what it's like to die. To forget all the suffering, stop the pain, and just sleep. The darkness looms nearer now and I can hear the screams in the distance. Suddenly the air grew cold. He's here. Heavy footsteps echo on the pavement and a chill goes down my spine. Why can't he just let me die in peace, he has what he wanted, he finally won. "Get away from me," I mutter. "Come on darling, don't you want to hear what I have to say?" "No." I glare at the man. His dark and cold eyes just scream danger while his wide grin is plastered onto his face. "Just kill me already, you got what you wanted so let's just end it now." "Oh what's the fun in that, I'm not here for that. On the contrary, I plan to save you." He's behind me now and kicks my gun away. He is close enough that I can feel his breath on the back of my neck. Eyes wide, I turn to punch him but he seizes my hand pulling me into an embrace. I feel something sharp like a needle break my skin and inject something. My body suddenly feels heavy and my vision begins to blur. Dizzy and weak, I struggle to speak "Why can't you let this nightmare end, you monster" He leans in and whispers into my ear, "It's just beginning darling but don't forget, don't forget that you are the one who made me this way."
