Kaiyo always lived his life peacefully hidden away in the Southern Water Tribe. He had originally went out with Katara and Sokka's father to fight in the war, but was sent back due to the village needing him. Although he may be a skilled warrior, with the reappearance of the Avatar, the Fire Nation is now in hot pursuit and Kaiyo must work with the gang to help Aang reach his full potential. There was always more to Azula's character than what we saw in ATLA. The Warrior's Betrayal aims to expand on what happened in between Azula's appearances, without altering canon events, by introducing an OG character and love interest, Cyra. ____________ *Story is complete, undergoing editing* This is purely fanfiction using characters from Avatar the Last Airbender, i do not claim ownership over the characters and am just borrowing them for fanfic purposes

Basically Avatar: the Last Airbender but Azula is with Zuko from the beginning because I love her and she deserves a redemption arc. This fic focuses on the dynamic of Zuko and Azula and Iroh together mostly, but will change as the series goes on and they interact with the gaang. I added an OC that will not appear until book 2, but he's real and relevant I promise. There is also an OC in Book One mostly who is (spoilers) Azula's gf. Since parts of this are adapted from the transcript itself, assume any skipped scenes are canon scenes.

From a young age Honna had been betrothed to the Fire Nation prince. She was taught etiquette and how to be a queen from the moment Zuko and her were betrothed at the young age of 5 years old. She was expected to be by Zuko's side all of her life so when Zuko was banished she went with him. Her honor depended on him, and although their relationship wasn't ideal in the beginning friendship blossoms along a long journey.
