(The cover is just a placeholder) This isn't the story I planned to write... (Ok maybe I did) It's the one I had to burn down and rebuild from scratch. After the whole Feldway incident (yawn), Rimuru was supposed to take it easy. World's safe. Peace is fragile. Yada yada. Cue relaxing slime vacation, right? WRONG. A strange new continent appears. Well. Actually doesn't magically appear but just got discovered. Don't ask why now you're gonna ruin the moment. Continuing on! The Octagram investigates. (And by Octagram I mean by Rimuru. The other Demon Lord's appear quite later on) Things go sideways. Like spirit-wolf-caught-in-an-explosion sideways. Now Rimuru's stuck navigating a world filled with: Magical warships piloted by emotionally unstable anime girls Narrator(s) who can't hold it together Enemies who monologue instead of dying when they should And one suspiciously adorable child in danger of breaking the entire peace treaty Oh-and he's not allowed to kill anyone unless they die first... If that makes sense So, Good luck with that. Oh and before I forget. Plot? Rewritten. Narrators? Unhinged. Butterflies? Irrelevant but still get camera time. Rimuru? Tired Read it. Or don't. But if you do, bring snacks. Because this story's going down, and the fourth wall is coming with it. --- Authors Note: 1. USS Kentucky was the last Iowa-Class Battleship to have its keel put down, it was sold for scrap in 1960 having had its bow chopped off and given to its older sister Wisconsin. She would then be scrapped later that year. In 1980, the Kirov is commissioned with the Soviet Navy. A proud symbol of Soviet Engineering and the first of 4 new Nuclear Powered Cruisers. The Soviets were proud of her but after a nasty accident with her reactors, the Russians didn't take care of her due to money reasons and scrapped her in 2021....well, that's how it all played out in our universe. How do these 2 bitter rivals from completely different eras meet? Much less fall in love? Well, stick around to find out.

Mark Fleetwood or as he was referred to by everyone "Sparky", was a rural Nevadan who lived with his aunt and uncle due to an unfortunate accident involving his parents. The only thing Sparky had from his parents was a blue, crystal-like, cube about the size of a dice that was with with them when they were found. Mark carried it in his pocket at all times like a good-luck charm . Sparky usually spent most of his days laying on a hill that overlooked the nearby Fallon Naval Air Station. He could watch the planes take off and land all day. It captured his sense of wonder, and he knew that one day he wanted to be a pilot. In December of 1941 The Japanese Empire Attacked Pearl Harbor resulting in 2,403 deaths on the U.S. side. As soon as Sparky heard the news he had his uncle drive him to the nearest Naval recruitment center and he enlisted in the naval flight academy. After his training was complete he was assigned to the USS Hornet which he treated as a second home. The Admiralty saw it fit for Sparky to pilot a F4F Wildcat fighter aircraft thanks to his outstanding control over the planes he flew which would be especially valuable in a dogfight. Sparky made it aboard the Hornet just in time to participate in the Battle Of Midway where he proved his worth as a pilot after shooting down three Japanese Aichi D3A Dive-bombers as they were preparing to drop their bomb loads on the Hornet. After the Battle Of Midway Sparky felt a connection to Hornet and vowed to himself that he would protect her at any cost. Peace was restored throughout the Azur Lane; the former Crimson Axis has been dissolved, and the Iris Libre and the Vichiya Dominion reunite into one. An introverted nobody gets isekaied out of nowhere. Given the free choice of how his reincarnation goes. He decides to spend his reincarnation wisely and picks the fictional submarine on par with some of the features of modern submarines, and chooses to go into the world of Azur Lane. After being found, he soon gets recruited by Azur Lane. But as a submarine not really meant for combat, how will he live his life on base? This is essentially a slice of life of Azur Lane with a male protagonist that has ALOT of personalities that affect his everyday actions. After suddenly remember a book A/N read in early middle school and neglecting his other work. A/N decides to imagine: "What if the Nautilus from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was in Azur Lane?" and makes it into an Azur Lane fanfiction.

The Situation has become dire for Azur Lane. The Sirens are slowly gaining a foothold all across the ocean. Ships sunked, aircraft destroyed, everything was falling apart. It would take a Miracle to save what's left of the ocean. A Small Fleet of American Ships were on a routine mission, on route to meetup with the rest of the Joint strike fleet. That was until a Storm slowly engulfed them.
