The year is 1944 and Germany and America are at war. This book looks at the American B17 bomber crews. And the struggles of what happened. Most of the story is fictional but I tied to make it realistic.

1942, World War 2; A B17 Flying Fortress Bomber flies through a "rift", and crash lands an a strange valley. Vint, and the crew of the bomber, must survive the unpredictable environment of their situation. Although, the seemingly innocent valley the Vint finds himself in has dark and mysterious truths. This valley is immune to time and predictable physics, and has a very, very dark secret within it. A creature, of sorts, so evil and malicious that none of the crew members could ever fathom exists.

In 2003, Mike Holmes, of the "Meridian Journal" was interviewing a gentleman about his time serving with the Army Air Corps during the Second World War. When asked about his most memorable experience in combat, he replied with this:

Old 666 was a Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress heavy bomber, serial number 41-2666, assigned to the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) 19th and 43rd Bombardment Groups in 1942-1943. It is notable for being the aircraft piloted by Lt. Col. (then Captain) Jay Zeamer Jr. on the 16 June 1943 mission which earned him and 2nd Lt. Joseph Sarnoski each a Medal of Honor, and all other members of the aircrew the Distinguished Service Cross.
