He's had enough of the lies, the toxic behaviour, and the breaking of his Hopes, time and time again... No, in this life, he's going to put himself first, and remove himself from the mess that his life had become... "No more false promises..." That was his vow, when everything ended, and began again... His promise to himself. A promise that he would keep, no matter what he had to do, or pay, to save himself from living that life again.
