Emmi looked out the window. It was a cold night in the orphanage. She was eight years old. At four her mother left her abusive father. Leaving her. Her father hit her in every way. And did something Emmi kept quiet about. Which made her become mute. After being saved, she gained anxiety and nightmares. The eight year old always felt like she was drowning. Being pulled down. But there was always land. But she couldn't get to that safety and feel normal again. She always felt between Land and Sea. Than the Butlers came along and flipped the world she knew upside down.
