I was six years old when the Empire took me. They didn't ask for my name. They gave me one. Asset Six. Every year, the number changed. Asset Seven. Asset Eight. Asset Nine. Asset Ten. Asset Eleven. Asset Twelve. That is who I am now. Asset Twelve. A number. A project. Something they kept behind locked doors and bright lights, waiting for the moment they decided I was useful. Not a person. Definitely not a kid. And maybe that would have been my whole life, numbers and orders and cold rooms and people who never looked me in the eye, if the mission had not gone wrong. It was not even my fault. (Which is impressive, honestly. They usually blame me before anything even happens) One moment I was where they put me. The next, I was not. Someone else got to me first. Someone who did not care about numbers or orders or what the Empire wanted. Someone who saw me as cargo, not a weapon. I was kidnapped. Then sold. Then sold again. Niktos this time. They did not bother learning my number. They did not care enough. And just when I thought that was it, that this was the part where my story ended quietly in some back room on some forgotten planet until the lights went out for good... A Mandalorian walked in.

"I need you to watch over this child I'm taking care of." The Innkeeper's eyebrows raised at the request. "Oh? For what reason?" "I need to find a job. Can't take him with me, and I can't leave him alone," Din explained curtly. "Can you watch over him until I get back?" "Well, I don't know if I'm equipped to watch him," she chortled as she waved a hand over her eyes. "But I'll keep him out of trouble. Where is he?" "He's in a carrier, it will follow you," he said, pushing a few buttons on his vambrace, moving the pram to behind the desk. "And does this child have a name or shall I call him Mando Jr?" Din breathed out a laugh at that. "No, he doesn't. He's just. . . the child." The Innkeeper pursed her lips at that, but shrugged. "Your child. Your business. Take care of your job, Mandalorian. I got him. Just come straight to the back when you're done."

I decided to make little stories of the mandalorian with his son grogu and all the adventures and funny things they go thru in life :D cuz there needs to be some and i don't see any- This is not a ship fanfic and i will not add any ships with mando or grogu with any side characters! This is a book about just them! Note i don't know much about star wars as much as din himself so apologies if i get some things wrong i'm only interested in the mandalorian stuff! These oneshots are not in order and don't really follow the storyline and plot of The Mandalorian, so be used to the change of settings and mood every chapter! Myria and the Mandalorian have a complicated relationship because they have feelings for each other but don't know how to express it. With the a child on board the ship, they can hopeful learn more about each and maybe confess their feelings to each other.

Basically, it is a crossover between The Mandalorian, and the show Rebels, and I have messed with the timeline. It takes place at the end of Mandalorian season 2, and Kanan isn't blind. When the Jedi came at the end of season 2, it was actually two, Ezra and Kanan. Instead of taking Grogu, Din goes with them and joins their space family. I don't know if I will do a story, or a bunch on one-shots, or both, we will see! I have had this idea for a while now, and I wanted to do it, so here we go!

This has some references to the sequel trilogy but it isn't. Valen will be on my fanmade character Norrin Radd, a Jedi Padawan who became disillusioned with the Republic. This will take place during the Clone Wars Era. The only change is Palpatine as he will be given up by Dooku. Dooku, wanting to become the new lord of the sith, provided the Jedi with enough evidence of his corruption and his true identity. Valen will see all of this and crave the power of the dark side. (And yes, I watched the Rise of Skywalker. I was in the movie as a stormtrooper and a random alien, I don't remember. So This is a fanfiction!!)

Could the famous Mandalorian trust this newcomer who makes him doubt of his own code?
