The world was never good to Harry James Potter. Our story starts when Harry is aged 24, 7 years after Voldemort's demise at the Battle of Hogwarts. He is one of the best aurors in Britain, along with his friend Ron Weasley. He and Ginny had broken up on horrible terms. She had accused him of cheating on her numerous times before just up and leaving him without notice. This was when Harry threw himself into his work to cope, taking on the more dangerous missions or the ones no one wanted to take. When he wasnt working, he was wallowing in his own sorrow with firewhisky at Number 12 Grimmauld Place, the manor left to him by his godfather. This all changed on one late night mission. He had gotten word of an ex-death eater in hiding, who turned out to be the legal guardian of an orphaned toddler, something he discovered when visiting the residence. Meeting the little baby boy changed something in Harry. Was it because they were kindred spirits of the same past, or was it because the baby was the reality check Harry so desperately needed?
