Alya Kendrick, one of the shyest people at Keaton, happens to be best friends with Bianca Blackwell. Alya despises Bianca's older brother Miles, the school heartthrob. Because of her previous bullying experiences, Alya has lost her will to fight, and her voice. When tragedy strikes and makes her life even more difficult, will Alya's voice be gone forever? Or will someone else be able to find it?

Based off the last episode of Backstage Season 2, before Carly and Vanessa do their winter portion of the dance. At the beginning of the year Vanessa Morita thought things would run smoothly, after all she had recovered from an injury not to long ago. What else could possibly happen? A lot. Now it's the end of the year and she has discovered that things didn't go as planned. These are her thoughts on her sophomore year at Keaton.

I just discovered "Backstage" the other day on Netflix and really liked the show. But I wasn't satisfied with the ending of Alya's and Mile's storyline. For me, the kiss at the end (although I really like happy endings) came out of nowhere. So, this is my try to take a slightly deeper look at the characters, their relationship and their feelings. Starting of where Alya and Miles sing "Everywhere is you" together at the season's performance, my story takes a slightly different direction. Please note that I am not a native English speaker.
