Her father called this a weakness, insisted it was a flaw to be drilled out of her for the good of the family, and as she raced through the winding halls of Black Manor, she was inclined to agree with him. It was quite beyond her why she was chasing her brother's rabbit through the old house, but Walburga felt she had to try to save the poor creature from a terrible fate.

Ember: a small piece of burning or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire.... that basically described the life I was living. At a young age, my mother, or if you can even call her that, was an artist. Or at least that is what I remembered when I was 5. She would create marble sculptures that were carefully crafted. But it was never enough. She wanted to pursue more. She started to paint, did pottery, or even photograph. But I wasn't the perfect she wanted in her life. Her mental health started to deteriorate. Not the person she wanted to take care of. Demons or something. Definitely not normal. And it was definitely a mistake telling the Sisters. But I have a strong feeling they're hiding something...
