The teachers say that she's a natural born genius. She gets tested each week to make sure her IQ doesn't slip, ever since she was a child. Natsu Dragneel, a known delinquent around the school. He's never actually met or come in contact with Lucy. Most likely due to him skipping class all the time. His parents always scold him and tell him that he should try and be a good role model for his little sister Wendy. He doesn't really listen. He just likes to have fun and cause trouble. It's amusing to him. He's a player, and girls are awash fawning over him when they see him in the hallway. He hangs out with best friend/worst enemy Gray Fullbuster all the time. Along with Gajeel Redfox and Jellal Fernandes. Lucy has to tutor someone named Natsu. She recognizes that name right away, and the face is uncanny. It's so strange.

But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I don't know what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Besides, how bad can this demon be if they're guarding our town?
