Imagine a world where powers exist. Now imagine a school created for the sole purpose of teaching students with powers. Ice is a girl who lives in such a world and goes to such a school. As she attends the school, she begins to discover hidden powers and secrets about herself she never knew. Not to mention her witty friend to help her along the way and a high ranked boy to challenge and crush on. Only time will tell just how far she'll go. I'm the worst fucking hero on the planet. ~~~~~ Gradient is Frye's friendly protector. He saves the cats from trees, helps the old ladies cross the road and has a bad habit of cracking his knuckles. He's also an immense joke of a superhuman with the uncanny curse of screwing things up. So of course, when he encounters the villainous Inferno (who, besides being evil and set on world domination, also has a soft spot for puppies) his world does an entire 180°. ~~~~~ "I've destroyed your headquarters and soon I will destroy your pathetic excuse of a cit-" Inferno suddenly cut off. He glanced down to where his coat dragged on the floor and sure enough, there was the hero. Swaddled in his cape. Adorably. ᴀᴅᴏʀᴀʙʟᴇ!? ᴡᴀɪᴛ ᴀ ᴍɪɴ -, Inferno's thoughts tripped as the hero known as Gradient snuggled further into his coat. Not that his coat minded, the blasted thing lifted half off the ground to wrap around the hero. "Well, it's not my fault that you dragged me out here. I'm cold," Gradient's words were muffled. The villain sighed. "I hate supers," he muttered as he bent down to pick up his hero.

"I'm sorry?was that supposed to offend me? Coz the only thing offending me right now is your face" I reply with a fake disgusted look..well he was hot ya know! I got into the light right? Well I realized that I was wearing MINI pj shorts..like really short and an oversized t shirt which ofcourse made it look like I wasn't wearing any pants. And he started to stare. This is the beginning of a story about Vikings that could end up being more. My story will take part way through the Viking age and will follow Ylva Morana, a young Viking shield maiden. A shield maiden was a women warrior, they would fill in when a man was killed and fought as fiercely and as brutally as the men and were well respected. The story will follow the conquer of an Anglo-Saxon territory. The story, unfortunately, will not be a hundred percent accurate as all the characters will be fictional and not following a fixed point in history. There will also be changes in the language and slang. Takes place in the Viking Age, between 793CE to 1066CE. The Viking age is when the Vikings started to raid the west. It was at this time that they settled and raided England, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, Russia, Anatolia and Newfoundland. The time of the Vikings began with the raid of Lindisfarne Monastery in Northumbria, England. The Vikings were portrayed as brutal, violent and bloody. It wasn't until the 1890’s were the Viking’s image remade. Through study, their artistry, technological skills, sea skills and strategic skills were revealed. The Vikings were incredibly innovative, they created better boats, battle tactics and much more. The image that is created when you think of a Viking is a huge, dirty, brutish man with a beard and a horned helmet. In reality the Viking’s were actually very clean people and they never wore horned helmets (they are extremely impractical) The Viking’s kept trim beards and had some very creative hairstyles, like the reverse mullet, where the back of the head was shaved and the front left longer.

I could feel the cold wrap itself around my arm, and watched as goosebumps prickled on my skin. We sat silently for a moment, while I watched my skin fight against the cold around it.
