Sometimes, you have to buckle down and demand what's yours. This story, it's as close as I will ever get to closure, but the world deserves to know that there is strength in our weaknesses. If I can make it through all of this and still have some fight left in me....so can you. I've prided myself on being this overly strong person, who has been a fighter since day one. The harsh reality of sexual abuse is that it's NOT something you can just keep inside and continue to feel strengthened that you made it through. It doesn't just sit in the back of your mind to never be thought about again. I could only wish that it would work that way. You can't drink it away and you can't ignore it. You have to face it.
