This is a story about a girl who is a bit of a loner, who loves reading books. Her mom has passed away, her dad isn't very nice, and her stepmom and stepsister are cruel. Her stepbrother is the only good one. But then she comes across a book titled "Lover and Where to Find Them" while working part-time at the library owned by a man named Victor Columbus. She starts reading the book and becomes obsessed with it. Then she starts to believe that characters from the book have come into the real world, and under their influence, she commits multiple murders and eventually suicide.

Domino was 4 when his mother died and couldn't protect him and his siblings. Kya, his big sister, had also gotten in the car accident. She died 3 weeks later in the hospital due to a brain bleed. His father had always been abusive, but it turned 10× worse when he turned to drugs and alcohol. The abuse was enough to drive anyone insane, and that's exactly what happened to a certain 6 year old boy after 2 years of the extreme abuse.
