Imagine a society were everything is perfect and everyone is an equal, that's not the case for the 'Gifted'. In this society were every one is equal the 'Gifted' are the glitches. They are more beautiful, more athletic, and more intelligent, but most of all, they have hidden powers and better senses. The Normals don't like this. So to fix this they are turned into slaves, separated from the normals, and given rules to follow. Blair is Gifted number 13 and is just tired of everything that happens. So he rises up. He is not a normal Gifted though. Nobody knows what will happen. ( except me, muahaha!!)

Scarlet has no opportunity and no choices at her home. Her parents didn't want her to be born and to make matters worse she does no follow the rules of their harsh government. Scarlet is done with not being able to make her own choices so she joins a rebellious group of fearless teens called the Leave. Scarlet quickly makes her status known by being the bravest and then Liam comes. He seems to understand what challenging her would really mean and she finds herself trapped into feelings she didn't know she could have, but then her heart is ripped out and everything she loves seems to have turned to dust. But what will she do about the government planning to kill her and her friends off?

Since the World War of 2050, every country has been participating in the Isolation Act- where all countries isolate each other for one hundred years in hopes of bringing peace to the Earth. Now it's almost 80 years in and our fourteen year old protagonist Annabeth is itching with curiosity about the outside world. One day on a school field trip Annabeth spots her chance; she manages to get to the other side of the wall- only to discover that the rest of the world stopped the Isolation Act only two years in.
