I've spent years playing drums in front of thousands of people without missing a beat. Then I met Evie Ruffilo. She's the younger sister of my bandmate, completely incapable of following simple instructions, and somehow still convinced she's going to learn how to play drums. Most days, teaching her feels less like music and more like damage control. It probably doesn't help that Noah and Jolly won't stop making comments, Nicholas is questioning every decision that led to this, and Evie has become impossible to ignore. Which is unfortunate. For several reasons.

Ryleigh "Rye" Torres, guitarist of Petal Riot, believes music should be earned, not built on hype and aesthetics. That's why she refuses to care about Bad Omens despite her bandmates' obsession. But when late-night conversations with someone unexpected begin turning personal, Rye starts questioning everything she thought she knew about music, fame, and herself.

This is a 2-part story, giving you the pov from two characters: Eve and Noah. Warning: before you read, I wanted to give a slight trigger warning. This story has themes that hint at depression and self-destruction.
