Well he didn't know that Elizabeth was the owner of the diary. So he fell in love with Elizabeth while learning so much about her past that once he finds out her identity he falls so much more in love. This book takes you through his story of meeting her, his letters to her and finally Elizabeth's diary. AN it's a weird writing style that I'm trying. Life tends to laugh at the plan you have come up with and does exactly opposite to what you expected. You expect it to be easy, that love is going to knock on your door when you feel lonely, someone you don't know is going to save you and you going to be popular with tons of friends who love you to bits... then reality kicks in and your fantasy just becomes a dream. Friends stab you in the back, the populars even get bullied and at the moment love doesn't exist and you wonder if it ever will. You tend to fall into depression at least once and when you let the dark thoughts strike..... game over. This is a story based off of a teenagers point of view into life and how she tries to find her way adding a little bit of gasoline to the fire burning around her. Prepare to laugh, maybe cry and agree. (Life just can't go the way we hope it would. we expect love to knock on our door but it never does and then our friends just stab us in the back.... trying to learn to love ourselves is hard enough... we don't need the pressure of school to add to this, and then depression and dark thoughts strike and then that's it.... game over.)
