(One part only!!!) Sleeping with the dwarven King was the worst possible thing Bilbo could have ever done, now he must return home carrying the weight of a child, Thorin Okanshield's child.

Bilbo is small, but he feels much more than he lets on. Hiding behind a respectful nod and a blinding smile he thinks he can manage. For as long as he needs to, he can hide behind his smile. He'll protect his friends from the venom brewing within his mind and his heart - why? Because he's Bilbo Baggins of course. And Bagginses are above all else, respectable.

When her father is approached by Thorin Oakenshield to accompany him on a quest, Laelia can't help but be frightened. Her father is frail and injured, the burns from Smaug never fully healed when they were attacked in Erebor 60 years ago. She takes his place on the quest, although Thorin thinks she's too young and irritating as she constantly defies him during their long journey. But he feels something for her even though he's not exactly sure what it is. Thorin will be challenged to fight hard for what he loves, because there are others who want it too. ~All "Hobbit" characters, the storyline and some of the talking parts belong to J.R.R. Even after Bilbo returns to his hobbit-hole, things aren't the same. There is an empty space that he didn't even know was there to be filled. Now, however, he is acutely aware. There is a beautiful tragedy to healing from a loss, Bilbo copes with the help of an acorn. Bagginsheild. Lots of it. Fluff and tragedy after the hobbit.
