Synopsis Two hands, one cup of extra-spicy ramen, and a rainy midnight in Baguio. Lyra's post-exam routine was simple: grab her favorite comfort food, sit by the window, and zone out. She never expected her fingers to brush against Kai's-the quiet, mysterious transfer student who usually sat in the back row, staring out at the pine trees and speaking to no one. What starts as a petty debate over who claimed the last cup of noodles quickly spirals into a desperate escape through foggy alleyways and crowded night markets. Kai is running from his father's suffocating corporate empire down south, and the men sent to force him back to Manila have just caught up to him. When threats turn toward Lyra, Kai is ready to surrender his own freedom to keep her safe. But Lyra isn't about to let him walk into that trap alone. Joined by a few loyal friends, she proves that no matter how hard the storm hits, nobody has to face it by themselves. Do you remember that very first jerk you got attracted to? Did it ever occur to you why you got attracted to him in the first place? This is what this book's all about. Hoping to find a reason for all the messed up relationships she's had in the recent years, Leila, a 24 years old Filipino nurse, would like to find closure within herself to finally move on from the monsters haunting that is her past bestfriend/lover/enemy/swine, Michael. How can one dream turn into a nightmare? How can you possibly be head over heels in love with a person one day, then completely abhor them? This is NOT a love story, it's a brutal, bitter, scornful, loathful, very long letter of a hopeless romantic girl hoping to find Mr. Right, but ended up with a collection of swines. Where did she went wrong? That's what she's about to find out... This would be my very first novel in English and I intend to finish it as soon as possible. Sorry for some grammatical errors, if any, and I hope you like the dramatic, humorous, and exciting story of Leila! This is completely fictional, any story that may relate to yours is completely coincidental, or so I say...;))

In the quiet embrace of the Cordillera mountains, where the wind carries stories and the earth remembers every tear, two souls found each other not in perfect moments but in broken ones. Phil Onise had once built his life around love. He believed in forever until the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving behind more than just heartbreak. He came to Baguio carrying silence like armor, grief like weight, and a past that refused to let go. Ziny Nemis arrived at the same place with her own scars, a dream shattered by betrayal, a trust broken by someone she thought would stay. She didn't come to heal. Not at first. She came to escape. But the mountain has a way of making you face what you carry gently, patiently, powerfully. They met not as saviors or soulmates, but as strangers walking the same trail one step ahead, one step behind, always finding their way back to each other. And slowly, healing began. Not with grand declarations. Not with fairy tales. But with shared meals beneath starlit skies. With hikes through pine forests and whispered conversations beside campfires. With honesty. With time. With choice. Because sometimes, the only thing stronger than pain is the love that grows from it. "Where the Mountain Heals" is a story about second chances, not just in love, but in life. It's about how we carry our pasts, but don't have to be carried by them. And it's about the quiet magic of the mountains How they change people. How they mend hearts. How they bring us home. To ourselves. And sometimes... to each other.
