My book for NaNoWriMo 2017, which just so happens to be a LOTR fanfic. Losing his mother under mysterious circumstances, and losing his home to the fire drake Smaug, Farin flees with the surviving people of Laketown to the city of Dale. However, his mind is drawn toward the body of Smaug, causing him and his sister go on the journey of a lifetime. They will face peril in the outside world, and even greater peril in their own minds.
