One after the other, an unfortunate prince from the Amiling kingdom was chosen to wield the lunar kampilan called Bulan to cleanse the Nokta, an unknown plague that spread like wild fire across the land. This plague kills mortals and turns them into walking corpses as part of the evil Bakunawa's army against the last moon goddess. Having no more male descendants to wield the Bulan, a mourning wife of the last datu named Ibuna stood up and volunteered herself as the one who will fulfill the vow between her clan and the goddess Haliya despite the warnings by the council and the babaylans. Long ago, it is said the great Bakunawa, the serpent of the sea and skies, tried to swallow the moons and plunge the world into eternal night. Legends claim the gods struck it down. But legends are often written by the victors - and sometimes, they hide truths darker than the night itself. In a realm where eight ancient clans once stood as pillars of balance, whispers of forgotten power stir again. One by one, young heirs are summoned to fulfill destinies they barely understand - heirs bound not only by bloodlines, but by secrets buried deep in the bones of the world. At the center of it all is Libulan Mayari, a boy unlike any before him - the first male babaylan in a clan where only women were believed capable of wielding the sacred gifts of life, spirit, and healing. Marked by a color he chose himself - pink, the hue of dawn and quiet rebellion - Libulan's very existence shatters ancient traditions. Yet with his rise comes unease, for the old stories begin to crack, revealing something hidden beneath. Together with the other young masters - Thaddeus, Kaiana, and Marcus among others- Libulan embarks on a journey across cursed islands, forgotten temples, and living mountains. Along the way, they encounter creatures of myth - not as monsters, but as relics of a stolen past. The young masters soon realize that the true enemy is not chaos or ancient beasts... but the rewritten history that imprisoned both the Bakunawa and their own clans in chains of lies. As the last moon trembles in the sky, they must decide: Will they protect the world built on falsehoods - or tear it down to reveal the forgotten truth?

Long ago, there were seven moons -- personified by the seven moon deities. The siblings were full of beauty and grace, and both humans and gods were enchanted by their beauty. Youngest of the siblings was Bulan. He was playful and curious. One night, he heard the god of death, Sidapa, mutter something about the moons that angered Bulan. This started a petty war between the two. Although if Bulan was being honest, he enjoyed this connection - however unconventional - he had with the other deity. * Sidapa has settled into a routine. Every night, he'd watch the skies and wait for the youngest moon deity - to exchange snarks and pranks. It was foolish, but it made his existence more interesting. But then a vicious dragon from the underworld, Bakunawa, started attacking the moons... and Sidapa only had one thing in mind: save the seventh moon, Bulan. DISCLAIMER: This is a fanfiction LOOSELY based on various Visayan (and some Bicolano) myths in the Philippines. I butchered the myths right off the bat (because I mixed different versions of myths from different parts of Visayas and Bicol) so if you're not okay with that, consider yourself warned.

Laang called for his guide Gahaman, who he subtly hears from beyond but sees not in that world as one could gladly. He stretches his look towards here and there, and saw none for that matter of looking. He remembers speaking, his old days of speech. But there corrupted only a familiarity of it that had seemed dull and unlikely." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Makaraig, an old peaceful island in the ancient world of the Maharlikas has witnessed a Sea Serpent that had aroused from its ancient slumber and leaped to the heavens and devoured the moon. Uncover the mysteries of this magical story and the fate that awaits the people of Maharlika as you join Laang, the son of the Village chieften as he searches for answers of this age old tragic mystery.

"Please don't let my knees buckle," the young boy pleaded, his voice strained as he continued to run. There was no other sound around him, except for the pounding of his feet on the ground which echoed the beating of his heart that he felt would give way any second. There were tears streaming down his cheeks; unmarred skin that was softer than any female. He wanted to turn his back for a second to see if he was safe, but he was afraid that even that small pause would hinder his escape. From a distance, too near for him to disregard came the sound of dried fallen branches being snapped as the weight of what was behind him broke through in continued pursuit. A rush of adrenaline shot through his veins and the young boy ran, breaking into muffled sobs as his fear engulfed him. It was uncanny to not have any other sound from the trees that passed like a blur as he continued to run. The way was darkened by the shadows of the woods that profusely grew behind the school, yet, he knew the way like the back of his hand. He continued. The bright light of the moon was beckoning at him like a beacon. A sudden sinister hiss sounded a few feet away. And the boy pushed himself forward with the last of his strength. He was nearing the edge of the cliff. Heart beating like drums, body drenched in sweat, and his eyes strained from crying in the fear of what was after him, he jumped.
