The uses of stories in civilised society in modern and ancient history are innumerable. From cautionary tales to the basis of national holidays stretching back millennia. The legends and Lore in these pages has been kept alive only by those willing to keep it alive. Word of mouth and commitment to memory held these sentences and paragraphs together until we decided to make them more perminant. Placing them on stone tablets and scrawled on parchment because we believed them to be useful. And perhaps I make myself redundant by saying we've gotten these down before, but it never hurts to make sure. After all, what's a piece of lore or legend without being read?

Lyrian Odinsdöttir is Thor and Loki's little sister, and the three of them are as different as gold, ice and fire, but they love each other as much as they fight. However, Lyrian has had the same nightmare since she was a child: a shadow, a silver dagger, an engraved bracelet, and the face of an unknown man covered in blood. She has learned to live with that vision as she grows as Princess of Asgard, with all that it entails. But as all the gods know, dreams are rarely just fantasies. Lyrian is quite certain that what she sees every night is a premonition, and that doesn't improve at all when she sees the face of the man from her dream for the first time in real life. ------------- Marvel AU

The Poetic Edda is a compilation of myths in a poetic form, using the Codex Regius as a basis. It is usually attributed to Sæmund Sigfússon, a priest and scholar from Iceland. This version was translated by Benjamin Thorpe, in 1866. *Many of the poems' names have changed over the years. The english translation provided here is fairly old, so it would make sense as to why it would change.

This Is going to be a very different take on Danmachi Compared to Most Fanfictions! taking place during the Zeus and Hera Era of Orario... however why does Orario have to be the focal point? There happens to be quite a large Ocean and a supposed third unexplored part of the world. When grief ascends the coral throne, A prince shall rule, yet stand alone. The stars shall dim, the nobles press, And duty births a heart's distress. Three shall bind him to the flame- A knight of gold, a fox untamed, And Calypso, born of sea and song, Shall hold him when the nights grow long. Born of salt and sorrow's flame, The heir shall rise with none to name. A prince cast out, a pirate made, His blade shall dance where hope decayed. The Leviathan stirs in shadowed deep, Where fate and fear together sleep. A seal shall cry beneath the bones, And drown the Maw with ancient moans. The knight shall lose his guiding blade, The vixen's fire shall be unmade. The prince shall break, his crown undone, All lost beneath the dying sun. Two stars shall fall in silent flame, Their light consumed to forge his name. The boy shall grieve, the sea shall moan, Yet through their loss, he stands alone. When time unravels and stars mislead, A rabbit falls with urgent heed. Through shattered clocks and twisted skies, He warns the heir where ruin lies. Yet pride shall blaze in princely heart, Refusing fate to break apart. He shall rise to claim the sea, The land, the sky, and destiny. Though fire consumes his fleeting breath, He'll forge a world untouched by death. No crown shall weigh, no fear shall bind, While hope still burns within his mind. And in the wreckage, love shall bloom, A sea-born bride defies the gloom. She takes his hand, her voice the balm- And binds the storm with gentle calm.
