Lue is a little girl who goes everywhere with her faithful balloon. One day at a balloon festival everyone seems to want it because of its uniqueness. They offer her what seems to be the world, but she refuses to give it up.

Lilac is forced to run away after her parents are killed by an unknown organization. When she stumbles upon an open field and has no where else to run, she tries to live on her own. Chris has to trespass this field to get to the other side of town. When he stumbles upon Lilac they learn to cope with the new adjustments of the field. It isn't until they realize things aren't as they seem that they have to figure out new ways to survive. Can they live and make it out of the field or will they be stuck there and be lost forever.
