Shota Aizawa thinks that due to his quirklessnes he does not have the potential or drive to be a hero so expels him right there and then. That was their first and most Fatal mistake. In the wake of All Might's rejection, Izuku goes with Sensei. The League gained a new member, and the future shifted. Idea was StOLeN from PaleKittenVoid. Izuku met All Might on the same day, in the same place, and ended up on the same rooftop that you all know and hate. All Might said something different this time though. "Young man, even without a quirk, you CAN become a hero!"

If you're Quirkless, most people would tell you you can never be a Hero. If you can't be a Hero because people underestimate you, you're left with three other options. Being a Villain is definitely not for someone so pure and overly righteous for this world, so there are two choices left. Assassin or Vigilante. Either choice gives you the freedom to move in the grey area, fight against or with crime, with the law as your worst enemy.

A new villain attack means that pro heroes and students have to hide in the streets of Japan. With all their houses public the heroes learn a secret about their own and Endeavor gets a taste of his own medicine.

I'm posting this on ao3 there's a lot more chapters out there so if you're interested checked it out. It's called "possessing a loser" by "emmaapple" Yamikumo was a plain guy, he liked hero's, had few friends but one key trait he had was not letting anyone mess with him. He took absolutely no one shit. One afternoon while in his local convenient store buying a bag of chips he was held at gun point. No way he was going to listen to what this dead beat had to say but in hindsight maybe he should have. Or Midoriya decided to go ahead and end his life only to "come back to life" moments after he hit the ground. Only difference was it was someone else from a different dimension possessing his body. Someone who looked almost the same as him but parted his hair different, stood a bit more hunched, had the same interests and motivations but this guys personality was totally the opposite of Midoriya's.

He also looks like him in certain aspects. I always thought Toge Inumakis power was very cool and creative. And since im impulsive and not very creative this story was birthed.
