Baneful Stories

A selkie's pelt is their everything. With it, they're able to return to the embrace of the ocean, their home. Without it, they're imprisoned in a cell of flesh. Worst of all, if their pelt falls into the hand of another, they're forced to obey their captors. When Beitris's ship sinks and she's washed ashore without her pelt, it feels like this silkie's worst nightmare has come true. To the young girl's dismay things only get worst from here, a man claiming he's her mate now possesses her pelt and doesn't seem like he'll give it back anytime soon.

When 16 year old Gracelyn Scott attends 'bring your child to to work day', everything seems A-okay. She doesnt ever really see her Father, so him requesting her to come instead of one of her other beloved siblings seems to be the start of a good day. However, once she finds out that her Father doesnt actually work for the company he says he does, things begin to change which could lead to the end of humanity.
