During her childhood, she never expects that her life would be dull since she spent her entire childhood in her home being homeschooled by her mother, teaching her Japanese and her dad with English and other academic subjects that are required. During those times, with no friends to play with nor hang out, she dedicated herself to learning how to draw and to appreciate reading. In the age of 15, her mother suggested that she'll let North attend High School in Japan, leaving their hometown and their father for his work and the two of them travel to Japan. North attended a school called Hanasakigawa Girls' High School as a freshman. Thanks to her childhood, she had a hard time fitting in the class, let alone making any friends. The only companions she have are Tsugu and Himari. Throughout the year, she always sleeps in class due to the fact that she reads and learns advanced with her learning materials. She was also inspired to learn how to play an instrument thanks to AfterGlow's practice, which Tsugu invited her. Reaching her 2nd year in Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, she met a certain person that changed her life forever. Lying down under the Cherry Blossom Tree, she was approached by Aya Maruyama, the lead singer of Pastel*Palettes. Thinking that she doesn't deserve to be approached by a cute girl like her, she pushes her away and distances herself away from her.
